„Climate sail international 2024“ is our European ecumenical Youth meeting on climate and environmental protection for young people from Germany, Finnland, Poland and Austria. The meeting starts on August 13th in the convention center of the seamans church of Finnland in Hamburg. We will have a three day group building and climate excursion program in Hamburg: Getting to know each other, climate change perspective from different countries, meeting scientist; boat excursion in the harbour, evening prayers in the seamans chapel, music and games.
On August 16th we will move to Kiel and are boarding on the traditional sailboats „Regina Maris“ and „Twister“. We start a seven day sailing trip on the Baltic sea, learn how to sail on a traditional sailboat and live in a cosy maritime atmosphere. During the sailing trip we visit small Danish island and stay in safe harbours at night. We research the environment of the baltic sea with our maritim laboratory, discuss on climate issues and form a new ecumenical network of young European people. In the evenings we cook our meals, make music and games and have prayer times. The youth meeting ends on August 24th in Kiel.

August in Kiel bzw. Hamburg
